STEM CELLS SUSTAINABLE TO STRESS AS A PLEDGE TO ENHANCE THE REGENERATIVE ABILITY OF THE BODY,  HEALTH AND LONGEVITY
One of the most important conditions for a long and healthy life is the body's resistance to adverse external factors. An unprepared organism cannot effectively use the mechanisms of protection against stress. Aging is associated with the gradual attenuation of adaptation mechanisms, while a little stress can stimulate the body’s epigenetic defense mechanisms. In this review, we look at examples of hormesis — a paradoxical increase in resilience and longevity in response to a weak source of stress. Knowledge of the molecular mechanisms that trigger hormesis can help in developing ways to prolong life.
